Best Rancho Cucamonga Dui Lawyer Explains What can I do to get my license back?

Q.  I was arrested for a dui this year on the first , but about two weeks ago the DA decided not to file charges against me so they dismissed my case or dropped the charges. They sent me a detention certificate stating that it was a detention not an arrest. I want to know if it’s possible to get my license back , I’m 18

A.  Because you were under 21 at the time you’re facing a one-year suspension. So if you did not request a dmv hearing then you probably missed it and will be stuck with the year. It all depends on whether or not the officers took your license when they arrested you thereby giving you notice of hearing rights . If this happened in OC I would suggest calling the DMV orange county drivers safety office to see if there is any way for you to get a hearing .  As far as your license goes now you have to deal with the department of motor vehicles. If you’re 18 years old and we’re drinking alcohol driving in your license was suspended for a year you’re probably not gonna be able to get it back.
